PROJECT NAME : LAVAN Debottle-necking Project LOCATION : Middle East
BUSINESS AREA : Onshore System DURATION : 6-Months
CATEGORY : Onshore Process Plant OPERATOR : IOOC
CONTRACTOR : RASM ARA
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The Lavan island crude oil processing facilities are located in Iranian Territorial waters of the Persian Gulf.
The facilities consist of crude oil separation units, sweetening plants, an RVP stabilization unit as well as
desalination, a power plant and utilities.
Four central major production platforms namely SALMAN, RESALAT, RESHADAT and BALAL are
producing oil and gas in the Lavan Island area. Each field has own offshore facilities such as wellhead
platforms, production platforms, living quarters and infield pipelines. Produced oil from each field is
transferred via sub sea crude export pipelines to Lavan Island for further processing, storage and export.
Conceptual and Basic Engineering has been carried out to identify potential bottlenecks on the existing
processing plant facilities.
SCOPE OF WORK:
A new Hot Stripping plant is proposed to be built at a new
area along side the existing processing plant. The main
objective is to extend the Salman Plant capacity to produce
220,000 bopd and at the same time resolve the sweet gas
shortage.
